Pierson’s Thanks for Giving Initiative — Terms & Conditions

1. Overview
The Pierson “Thanks for Giving” Initiative (“Initiative”) is organized and administered by Pierson Computing Connection, Inc. (“Pierson”), headquartered at 10 Long Lane, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050.
This annual program donates decommissioned interactive flat panel (IFP) displays and related technology to eligible nonprofit organizations that can use them to further their educational, training, or community missions.
Participation in this Initiative constitutes full acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

2. Eligibility
To qualify for consideration, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
  • Be a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization or equivalent charitable entity.
  • Be located and operating within one of the following Pennsylvania counties:
    Cumberland, Franklin, Adams, Dauphin, Lebanon, Lancaster, Perry, or York.
  • Be capable of safely housing and utilizing the donated technology for community benefit.
  • Submit a completed application form through Pierson’s official website or other approved method before the submission deadline.
     
Government agencies, political organizations, and for-profit entities are not eligible.

3. Selection Process
  • All applications will be reviewed by the Pierson Community Outreach Committee.
  • Selection will be based on:
    • Demonstrated community impact
    • Alignment with Pierson’s mission of technology empowerment
    • Readiness and capability to utilize the equipment effectively
  • Priority may be given to organizations serving youth, education, and underserved communities.
  • Selected recipients will be contacted by email or phone.
  • All selection decisions are final and made at the sole discretion of Pierson.
     
4. Donations
  • Donations may include interactive flat panel displays and/or related mounting or connection accessories, depending on availability.
  • Equipment is provided “as is” with no warranties or guarantees, expressed or implied.
  • Pierson assumes no responsibility for installation, maintenance, or technical support unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Recipients agree not to sell, lease, or transfer donated equipment for profit.
     
5. Use of Organization Information
By applying, organizations grant Pierson permission to:
  • Use their name, logo, and submitted information in Initiative-related promotional materials, press releases, and social media posts.
  • Share impact stories, photos, and videos to highlight the positive outcomes of the program.
     
6. Liability & Disclaimers
Pierson assumes no liability for any damages, injuries, or losses resulting from the installation, transport, or use of donated equipment.
Recipients are solely responsible for ensuring safe handling, electrical connection, and operation of the equipment.

7. Privacy
All submitted information will be used only for evaluation and administration of this Initiative and will not be shared outside Pierson except as required by law or authorized under Section 5.

8. Program Timeline
  • Application Period Opens: November 1, 2025
  • Application Deadline: November 30, 2025
  • Recipient Notification: Week of December 9, 2025
  • Distribution Window: December 2025 – January 2026
     
Pierson reserves the right to modify timelines or program details without prior notice.

9. Amendments
Pierson may revise or discontinue this Initiative or these Terms & Conditions at any time. Any updates will be posted on the official Pierson website.
