WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO

Recycling is a big part of how we roll at the Pierson. We’re all about taking care of the planet, and that means more than just talking the talk—it’s all about walking the walk. In our offices, recycling isn’t just something we suggest; it’s a must-do that’s part of our daily routine. We make sure to recycle paper, plastic, glass, and aluminum like it’s second nature to us.

ECO-FRIENDLY PRACTICES

At Pierson, we are committed to sustainability through proactive warehouse recycling initiatives. Our efforts include recycling foam using an in-house foam densifier, cardboard from all OEM and flat panel display boxes, and plastic bags and packaging materials. We also responsibly recycle metals such as steel, aluminum, and copper cabling. These ongoing initiatives reflect Pierson’s dedication to reducing environmental impact and promoting eco-friendly practices in every aspect of our operations.

2024 Recycling Stats:

  • Cardboard: 304,760 lbs.

  • Styrofoam: 35,208 lbs.

  • Plastic: 12,600 lbs.

  • Electronics: 5,356 lbs.

Greenpack- A Sustainable Packaging Solution

A SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING SOLUTION

Greenpack focuses on reducing waste and improving efficiency across every stage of device deployment. By cutting skid quantities in half, we can fit up to 360 devices and chargers per skid, compared to traditional packaging, which holds only 136 to 144 devices. This improvement drastically reduces packaging waste — including 1,200 lbs. of residual materials per 1,000 devices, all of which Pierson recycles. Our streamlined operations also minimize the number of staff and hours required to deploy devices, eliminating excessive packaging such as OEM boxes and foam pieces. This not only reduces labor but allows for faster device distribution, enhancing the user experience and reducing administrative burdens for our clients. Additionally, our process supports the efficient use of space and resources, optimizing logistics and minimizing storage needs while lowering transportation emissions through smaller, more efficient shipments. Pierson’s Greenpack packaging model further simplifies deployment with boxes that include pre-configured devices, chargers, and detailed inventory lists, making tracking and asset management seamless. Clearly labeled boxes allow for easy access and distribution, while the elimination of returnable skids and packaging reduces logistical complexities and waste — a win for both our clients and the environment.
